IT Business Analyst – Actuarial – Liège Belgium
About the role
Interested to join a strongly growing and dynamic international insurance company? To reinforce its IT team, Monument Belgium is looking for a Business Analyst IT / Actuarial for its Liège office. Within the local ‘IT Department’ – which manages & develop the Policy Administration Systems for Life Insurance (corporate and individuals), the IT department mainly coordinates the development in context of business projects or continuous business improvement.
You will play a key interface role between the IT department and Actuarial function to clearly translate requirements in solutions to be developed by our teams (Cobol, Delphi-OOP)
Responsibilities
- Develop documentation for “Revision” & other Actuarial functionalities modules of our PAS.
- Support Actuarial resource at specifying the requirements and formalizing them in standard documents.
- Model business processes in BPMN.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (IT, Operations, Business, …).
- Analyze the existing systems and evaluate the impact of various projects on these systems and processes.
- Prepare the various tests (processes and calculations) to ensure the quality and reliability of the developments.
- Document changes clearly and comprehensively.
Role Requirements
- You have at least a bachelor’s degree, preferably in mathematics, computer science or economics, or an equivalent experience.
- You have minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar, ideally in the life insurance or investment products (banks) sectors. Knowledge of classic life insurance products is a plus.
- You are French-speaking with a good command of the other national language, and you can work in English.
- You master MS Office and you have a demonstrated knowledge of BPMN. You also have experience with the editing of business requirements.
- You have an analytical mind, you are customer- and solution-oriented.
- You work meticulously, organized and result-oriented.
- You can work independently and you take initiative, You obviously have team spirit.
- You are able to analyze user needs, identify requirements and design technical solutions that meet those needs.
- You are able to solve complex problems and make informed decisions using data and analysis.
- You communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members to explain IT architecture concepts in a clear and concise manner.
